Fantastica
We love all of our horses and await each new foal with great hope and anticipation. However the arrival of Rubizza's 2007 foal brought special feelings of joy, gratitude and relief. Rubizza had refused to conceive year after year beginning in 2003. Every test showed her to be healthy and to be a fine candidate for breeding. Finally, in 2006, my vet Randy Emmons consulted our good friend and repro expert Michelle LeBlanc who cut right to the essence of the problem and solved Rubi's dilemma with an old time remedy — a simple DMSO lavage.
So, when Rubi presented us with her sixth foal on the night of May 22nd, everyone involved rejoiced! We especially rejoice at the fact that this foal is another filly and that she is all we hoped for — legs that go on forever, friendly, sweet tempered, smart, correct. I could go on and on, and probably will do so as she grows.
Fantastica is by Fabuleux (Fabriano/ Augustinus xx). This little girl gives us a totally new cross for mama Rubizza, which makes her a strong candidate for out mare herd. Time will tell, but in the meantime she is not for sale.
