Kabibi is a beautiful, kind, sweet black 2002 Oldenburg mare by Rubin Royal, out of a Donnerhall/ Akzent II/ Argentinus dam. We thank fellow breeder Laura Whitford of Shadowfox Farm for letting us have this simply beautiful young mare. Kabibi was bred by Wilhelm Sieverding in Germany and imported in utero by Carole Lawrence. Laura bought her as a three day old foal. She was presented to the Oldenburg Breeders Society as a three year old and was awarded Premium mare. She had a lovely Samarant foal in 2007. At present Kabibi is under saddle. She was in work after I bought her until she was presented to AHS for inspection in the summer of 2008.

Kabibi produced a Wolkentanz I foal in 2009, Wowdacious. A gorgeous, uphill and powerful moving colt, Wowser (1st picture below) sold to Tracy Rowe McEwan in MI in April 2010. Kabibi was leased by another breeder and bred back to Wolkentanz I, producing an elegant black colt Wilton (2nd picture below)in 2010.

I bred her back to Hotline for a 2011 foal and Haiku arrived March 28th. A simply elegant black colt, he may have been one of the best Hotline colts I have ever seen. Sadly, while being treated for an upper respiratory condition with a medication that was known to cause hyperthermia, he succumbed to heat stroke. We lost him to a senseless death.

Kabibi was leased to another breederfor a 2012 foal. She was leased by Heather Luing in 2012 and gave her a gorgeous colt.

I sold Kabibi to my fellow Hanoverian breeder Mary Beth Stanton in 2013. I hope to hear how she does as time goes by.

Kabibi's Ancestors

Rubin Royal head

Kabibi's sire is Rubin Royal (above, showing exactly where Kabibi's head comes from), one of the very best of Rohdiamant's sons out of a Grundstein II/ Akzent II mare, and a full brother to Blue Hors Romanov. Rubin Royal was licensed in 1999 and had a very successful stallion test in 2000. In 2001 he was awarded the 1a Premium Stallion for the outstanding quality of his first foal crop in Oldenburg. Interestingly, his damline coincides with our very special mare Rohanna's in the mare Kateja.

Kabibi's damsire Donnerhall (below) needs no introduction, as he is such a defining dressage stallion, bringing rideability in spades to the table. He produced it all — performances of his own, stallion sons, top mares, performance progeny and generations more that built upon his legacy.

The grand dam's sire Akzent II, below, was known for type and rideability and is seen in many pedigrees in Hanoverian and Oldenburg horses.

Akzent II

The great grand dam's sire Argentinus, below, very recently deceased, was a stallion known for producing both jumpers and dressage horses of extreme talent. He was named as Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2005. He is particularly prized as a mare producer.

From such ancestors, we hope for outstanding offspring from our lovely Kabibi. Stay tuned!
