The Proud Papas - and Papas to Be

At HAF we select the stallions we use for their temperaments as well as their conformation, athletic abilities and ability to pass on these traits to their offspring. We feel that without a trainable mind, even the most talented horse won’t go far, or go happily.

The horses below are the sires of our foals and/or future sires of foals. We hope that you enjoy learning about them. Please click on a picture below to go to a page with more information on each stallion.

Please note that we do NOT own these lovely stallions.

They are the fathers of our foals, but are owned by others. You will find links to most of them on the Links page or on their own pages on this site. Be sure to visit their cyber homes!

Papas for 2014

Escolar SPS Püppi is bred to Escolar for a 2014 foal. Puppi has given me only excellent foals. Escolar is a very exciting young stallion from an entirely different line from what I have bred to date. Escolar's sire is Estobar by Ehrentusch. His dam is by Guerst Piccolo, who is by Fidermark, Fidertanz's sire. I can hardly wait to see the result.
Fidertanz EM Wintermaske is bred to Fidertanz for a 2014 foal. I am very excited about combining the huge rideability and willingness of both parents, along with the suspension of Fidertanz and the lightness of motion of Wintermaske.

Papas for 2013

Don Schufro (Donnerhall / Pik Bube / Unkenruf) has been at the top of the FN dressage ratings for several years. He is a successful international Grand Prix dressage stallion. He is the father of our wonderful 2006 filly, Dominique, out of Rohanna. Dominique has grown up to be a tall, impressive and talented mare, just the sort to keep for the mare herd. We bred Spa Püppi to Don Shufro in 2012 the resuting filly Darling is just what her name brings to mind.

Fidertanz is by Fidermark a son of Florestan who quickly ascended the ladder to FEI levels. His damline is Ravallo/ Fruehlingstraum II, bringing versatility to his pedigree. Based on the quality of his foals, Fidertanz won the 1a Premium award. Wolkenstanza has produced five Fidertanz foals to date (three via embryo transfer). Fidelio and Fantom were colts that sold very quickly. Fifi is a keeper filly from this truly golden cross. Her full sister Feather sold to a dressage and breeding home. Fiorenzo was born in 2012 and is owned by my trainer. Our 6th Fidertanz/ Wolkenstanza foal arrived in March 2013. A bay colt, he is just what we ordered.

Licotus (Likoto xx/ Donnerhall/ Balou) is a half Thoroughbred stallion that is being shown very successfully at the top levels of dressage. He brings in refining TB blood, with the tried blood of Donnerhall. He is suited to large, older style mares, and we bred him to both SPS Riou for 2013. The result could not have been happier. Lincoln fulfills every dream.

Wintermaske was a keeper for the mare herd, showing beautifully in dressage before becoming one of my best producing mares.

Wolkentanz

Wolkentanz I (Weltmeyer/ Ludendorff/ Aristides) is undoubtedly one of Weltmeyer's best sons. His offspring have become well known for their typeyness, excellent gaits, willingness under saddle and rideability. He is the sire of our keeper 2004 filly Wolkenstanza out of Rohanna. That filly made the stunning overall score of 8.5 at her mare inspection, the highest score given by the AHS in sixteen years and has become my strongest producing mare.

Rohanna had a second foal by Wolkentanz January 24th, a full sibling to Wolkenstanza a beautiful black filly with very similar lines and proportions to Wolkenstanza. Well Worth It is now Elite Eligible, having been names reserve champion Hanoverian mare at her 2012 inspection, with a 9 on elasticity and impulsion. We liked Well Worth It enough to do this cross again for a 2011 foal. Rohanna produced a third Wolkentanz colt, Word of Honor in 2011. He is a near clone of his outstanding sister Wolkenstanza. He sold to Danielle Zeveney.

Bugatti Hilltop (Bergamon/ Rubinstein I/ Donnerhall) is a simply gorgeous young stallion.
