Rococo

Rococo

Rococo is our first foal of the year for 2011, arriving January 30th. He is EM Diva's (Donnerhall/ Gardeulan) third foal by the gorgeous stallion Blu Hors Romanov (Rohdiamant/ Grundstein II). Rococo is a charming, outgoing fellow with a puppy dog personality. He is very correct and has three solid gaits. The Romanov babies have been stamped with this personality every time. They also have been late maturing. I expect Rocky to be a wonderful dressage horse, especially for the ambitious adult amateur or junior rider. His two sisters, one bred on a lease to another breeder and my own Romanesque are growing up beautifully. Both are tall, correct and have three very good gaits, with a very laid back, easy going attitude that sometimes makes it hard to prove how well they move. Rococo was sold, along with Fable to Holly and Jeffery Taylor, Ohio. He then sold to my good friend Laura Wayman, who owns my very first foal Dazzler.

Rococo's sire Blu Hors Romanov is becoming well know for his quality of offspring at the same time that he continues to compete successfully at Grand Prix dressage. Romanov's dam line has produced famous stallions like Conterno Grande, Coleur Rubin, Couleur Rouge, as well as six full brothers Rubin Royal, Blue Hors Romanov, Rumicello, Rubino Vincente, Rubin Action and Blue Hors Rockefeller.

Rococo's dam EM Diva fulfilled her Mare performance Test in Germany in June 2005. She had very good jumping scores in addition to what would have been expected from her bloodlines. She won a 1a prize the same year, making her an SPA mare. She presented us with Flamboyant, a stunning Florencio son, May 16th, fulfilling her Elite Mare requirement (rather than the title of SPS that she would have had if she had foaled in Germany). She has a half brother Don Aqui by Don Bosco who is now a licenced stallion and has offspring successful in Germany.
