Reference Sires — Rotspon

The 1995 German Elite Hanoverian stallion Rotspon already stands out as a bright star. He was reserve champion at his licensing in Verden in 1997. In 1998 he won his testing at Adelheidsdorf with an overall score of 145.67, and a dressage score of 148.72. He stands as a Celle state stallion. He was so popular in his first year at stud that in 2000 lots were drawn for the privilege of breeding to this handsome young fellow. We were lucky enough to have won such a privilege!

Rotspon is by Rubinstein I, who is also the sire of our mare Rubizza, and grand-sire of our young broodmares-to-be Wintermaske and Rohanna. Please go to Rubizza's page to learn more about Rubinstein. Rotspon also sired Rascalino, a stallion that we will used with Frolichkeit in 2008.

Rotspon's dam's sire is the great Argentan I, known to sire superb mares. Pik Bube and Wendekreis round out a very illustrious mare line. Pik Bube was a Grand Prix dressage horse ridden and trained by Herbert Rehbein.

Check out Destinie's beautiful Rotspon daughter Royal Destinie. She is sweet, beautifully put together, and, boy, can she move!! She sold to a dressage and breeding home at ten months of age and is now competing well at Third Level with a junior.
