Reference Sires — Weltbekannt

Weltbekannt winning the BLM Freestle Finals

Weltbekannt (above) is the sire of four of our foals out of our Rubinstein I mare Rubizza, Wintermaske (a '98 filly) and Wonderful World (a '99 filly), Waltz With Me (a 2002 filly), and Welcome Home (a 2003 filly). This is a cross that is hard to beat! I am sure we will repeat it again and again.

Weltbekannt is a very refining son of the "stallion of the century" Weltmeyer. He was licensed and tested in Germany before being imported by Suzanne Quarles, Some Day Soon Farm, Mt. Airy, Maryland. He is successfully showing while being used as a breeding stallion. In 1998 he was reserve champion USDF Horse of the Year at Second Level. In 1999 he was USDF Horse of the Year for Third Level. He is pictured above doing a victory lap after winning the Third Level Freestyle Final at the prestigious Bengt Lundquist Memorial Finals in Maryland last October 2000. In 2001 he debuted at Prix St. Georges, scoring a 65% his first time out. He showed very successfully at Grand Prix, with winning scores in the upper 60's and retired at the age of 14. He passes on a beautiful head, very correct conformation, an easy, brave and out-going personality, and excellent gaits to his foals.

Weltbekannt’s sire Weltmeyer

Weltmeyer as a sire is nothing short of phenomenal. He won his 1986 stallion approval in Verdan, and then became the three year old German Riding Horse Champion in Vechta in 1987. Next he won his stallion testing in Adelheidsdorf. He has been trained to the advanced level. He has sired more than 80 approved sons and over 250 States Premium mares. His dressage index is 189. Statistics gathered on his daughters reflect his excellence as a sire. The index for their typeyness is 169, their limbs 173, and their dressage ability at their mare performance tests 184. Many of his sons won their licensing, many won their 100 day testing. Others became German Riding Horse Champions.

Imperator, Weltbekannt's Dam's Sire

Weltbekannt’s damline represents the classic Hanoverian lines of Imperator, Werther and Gotthard. The Gotthard daughter Griseldis produced two SPS daughters: Wolftrud (Werther) who produced Weltbekannt’s dam Inka, and Gretchen (Grande) who produced the Celle stallion Frappant (Werther).
